Years 5 and 6 (IBDP)

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is offered to students from within ACS (International) and also to those coming in from other schools who meet the basic criteria for acceptance.

The IBDP is a globally-recognised pre-university programme studied in lieu of A Level or other similar programmes.  Students study 3 subjects at Higher Level, 3 subjects at Standard Level, and the core elements of: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Action and Service (CAS).

As part of the CAS component of the IBDP, ACS (International) runs regular overseas and local service trips.

SUBJECTS OFFERED IN YEARS 5 & 6

Group 1: English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, School Supported Self Study

Group 2: English, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Malay, Hindi, Tamil.

Group 3: Economics, Business and Management, History, Geography, Psychology

Group 4:  Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Sports Exercise and Health Science

Group 5:  Mathematics, Mathematical Studies

Group 6:  Music, Visual Arts, Theatre, additional Group 3 or Group 4 subject.
